PEACE

None of the abstract concepts comes closer to fulfilled utopia than that of eternal peace. ~Theodor Adorno~
Theodor Adorno, means that there is no better utopia than eternal peace.

If I were to make a new world, peace would be the first ingredient in the recipe. Peace is a very general theme, it is connected to a bunch of ideals that would make a Utopia. A lot of problems happening to countries are often connected to peace issues. England, present day: a peace issue because... the gangs of youth aren't agreeing with some laws. Arab Spring, present day: a peace issue because... people are protesting against the government and want certain laws to change. A lot of issues are related to lack of peace in the world. My Utopia would be peaceful, it would be an amazing place where everyone would be happy and enjoy life to it's maximum.

What if in my Utopia...

What if...
War was only in video games, all countries agreed easily and there were no dead soldiers.
What if...
Peace wasn't only a fantasy, an ever lasting, far away dream.
In my Utopia life will be a dream for everyone.

The Letter : The Hunger Games

I wanted to write a letter for my project because Katniss talks a lot about her feelings during the Games. I think that if she wrote a letter to her family she would probably write it to Prim, her younger sister as she is the one she sacrificed for. Also I thought that writing a letter would be a good way for Katniss to share her feelings with someone she trusts and loves.

the Poem : The Hunger Games

I did a poem talking about Katniss because after all she is the main character in this book. Also we know a lot of things about her so I wanted to wright them down, and kind of summarize what happened in book 1.

The News Paper Headline: Hunger Games

I did a news paper headline for my project because I thought it was interesting to have the point of view of the media towards the "love story" between Peeta and Katniss. Also I can imagine that for the audience it was a big shock to learn that Peeta was in love with the girl he was going to have to fight in the arena.

learning Profiles-I am a K

I learn best when I focus on a whole picture, also I learn best through movement. I need to communicate the details and the linear aspects of life and learning. The strategies that would help me in my learning are: reading out loud, toning vowels, writing and drawing with my non-dominant hand. I would like my teachers to know that I learn more easily by doing and hearin things.

Kristillnach: taking a stand

On Kristillnach Germans had to make choices. They had to decide if they were going to just be bystanders or if they were going to stand up for Jew's rights. Some decided they were going to leave Germany to a neutre country, a few decided they were going to take a stand, and the majority followed the Nazis. If I would have had to make a choice on that night, I would have unfortunatly, probably decided to leave to a neutre country. My first answer in class was to take a stand but then we watched a few videos about what happened to people who did. There I understood that the few who dared taking a stand were simply heores, unfortunatly I am not one of these people, at least, for now.
